We are very sorry to announce that further to the latest directive from the Austrian government, the ban on any large gatherings of any kind is being extended until August which sadly means that the Iron Maiden headline show at Wiener Neustadt Stadium on July 16 will no longer be taking place as planned.
The full statement from our Austrian promoter Barracuda Music is as follows:
Today we were informed by the Austrian government that we have now a ban for all shows, festivals and events until AUGUST 31.
Which means the show with IRON MAIDEN can´t happen to the COVID-19 crisis and pandemic and therefore cannot go ahead as planned. We are of course talking to the band’s agent and manager about hopefully rescheduling the show as we know Austrian fans really do not want to miss this!
The danger of infecting further people and putting their lives at risk is simply too high. There is nothing as precious as our health and we must protect it. That is why we must and will follow the authority’s instructions.
