Iron Maiden have just released one more single for the gorgeous Dance Of Death (released the 9th September) called "Rainmaker". Even though we all know this song (check out the Dance Of Death review) I think I should mention some of the most important moments again. Rainmaker is the second track of the album, a fast and heavy classic Iron Maiden track, that's here to prove that Iron Maiden are now (my opinion) better than ever!
This single has been released under three different formats: a) Cd-single b) Dvd-single and c) Envelope-sleeve single. All versions contain "Rainmaker" plus "Dance Of Death" (Orchestral Version) and "More Tea Vicar" (a jamming session) that are included in the non-dvd versions. The dvd single has an orange cover (as the original) and it contains the great Rainmaker video clip, plus The Wickerman & Children Of The Damned performed live at Brixton Academy 2002 (During the Clive Burr fund session). Nice interactive menus and a short gallery slideshow showing the making of the Rainmaker video clip make this single cool, but unfortunately for Iron Maiden fans only. I truly can't find a reason why Iron Maiden have released this cd-single under those three versions (I haven't include the vinyl version - picture disk). Two singles after the release of Dance Of Death and I already got more than ten (!!!) album related cds! Dunno what to say but Rainmaker (the song at least) really rocks!
