Yup! The boys came for a gig in Athens after they canceled their previous one at Rockwave Festival due to Janick's sad accident. And yes dudes, they really kicked ass! More than we could imagine. I won't go into details about the setlist and the effects as all have been said before, I'll just write the unusual stuff: - Bruce and Nicko, during the intro of the Clansman started to dance in the middle of the stage Scottish style!

So the Athens gig ha? well IT WAS FUCKING GREAT. They started with the wicker man and all got crazy think about it... 15.000 people the played the exact set but... at the clansman Bruce stopped the song and sang, people got crazy and started to light fireworks, you know Dave Murray got a little scared and left the left wing of the stage and he went to the center.

Just a quick report on the Athens gig. It was a fantastic 3 days. I got in late on Thursday and met up with Spyros who contacted me after my request for help - he's a cool guy, seriously into Maiden. We had some beers and Greek food, I did the old touristy bit on Friday - Acropolis etc. The weather was scorching. Spyros drove us at 100 miles an hour to the gig, piping the horn and with BNW at full blast.

This is my review for the Iron Maiden Live performance in Athens (10 November 2000) This was the last Metal 2000 Live! The sound was very good (after the first 3 or 4 songs). The setlist was (UNFORTUNATELY) exactly the same as with every other gig they played this year.
