Welcome to Round 2 of Loudwire’s Best Live Band competition, and we kick things off with a metal matchup for the ages.
In one corner, you’ve got Iron Maiden, the iconic rockers who cruised to a Round 1 victory over thrash metal greats Anthrax in the Devil Horn Region. With a stellar metal catalog, a killer triple guitar attack and the relentless energy and theatrics presented by frontman Bruce Dickinson, it’s no surprise that Maiden continually draw huge crowds. And when you add in the Eddie stage props, there’s something for the eyes as well as the ears.
Maiden’s opponent will be another legendary metal act, as Judas Priest advanced after a neck-and-neck battle with Black Sabbath in Round 1. Led by the leather clad charismatic vocalist Rob Halford and his amazing range and metal yells, the band continually wows audiences. And let’s not forget the killer dual guitars of Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner and one of the best metal rhythm sections in Ian Hill and Scott Travis. Simply put, Judas Priest shows rock!
So tell us which band is taking the next step toward the title of Best Live Band. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Tuesday, July 21 at 10AM ET in the poll provided below, so make it count.
